ggf. ENGLISH Instructions for UM DANDIATM Shrink-fit adjustable tool holder Dial gauge: Lever dial indicator (resolution 0.001 mm or 0.002 mm) with ruby ball only. Positioning the dial gauge: Tool with alignmentpin. Tool without alignmentpin. Fixing and aligning the tool: 1. On the shrinking machine adjust time and temperature according to shank diameter. Make sure that one of the adjustment screws is pointing in the same direction as one of the cutting edges, when shrinking the tool into the holder. Remember good room ventilation and possibly local exhaust ventilation. 2. Distribute heat-resistant copper paste (resistant up to 1,100°C / 2,012°F) on all the adjustment screws. 3. Pre-tighten the adjustment screws to: Ø10-Ø14: 3Nm Ø16-Ø25: 5Nm The adjustment screws must be pre-tightened in the order A, C, B, D. 4. Place the dial gauge ball on the tool tip, see figure 1 and 2. 5. Rotate the tool to find the highest cutting edge and reset the dial gauge. C D 6. Rotate 180° and note the radial runout difference. B 7. Go back to the highest cutting edge and cor- rect runout error by tightening the adjustment screw. A 8. Repeat this procedure by the 90° adjustment screws. For best results, a max. TIR of 0.004 mm must be maintained. Instruction video: 4 Please Note! In case runout cannot be achived, loosen and pre-tigthen all screws again and start over. Never try to change the runout by loosening screw presure! Runout may change at temperatures above 50°C!
