UM DP Compact hogger / Scoring blades – machine setting Check the axial and radial run out of the spindles. Please contact KUT if the maximum values shown to the right can not be complied with. The spindles should be level, i.e. parallel to the top and bottom face of the panel. The machine spindles must be set oblique to ensure that the tools cut on their way into the panel but run free on their way out. Adjust the tool to cut in its center line (pos. A). Run a panel half way past the tool and stop the feed chain and spindle. Check with 0.2 - 0.3 mm plastic, to not damage the diamond. Scoring blades is processing on periphery, and therefore also inclined about 0.3 at the largest diameter despite the smaller diameter. Compacthogger/scoringblade standard setup: Hogger/Scorer double climb cutting see drawing. Distance between center hogger and center board should be approx. 15mm. If standard setup does not work contact KUT expert. Scorer with jumping jointing head: Risk of chipping at the back end of the work piece. Risk of corners breaking of. Scorer should start down and jump up to clip the back end. Height adjustment: Hogger height adjustment depends on material and cutting edge geometry.
